Workshops & Training

Project Genesis is unique in that it provides exchange participants with a series of Pre-Internship Workshops to advance their knowledge, training, and mindset about HIV/AIDS, thus better preparing them for their internship. To develop the HIV/AIDS learning experience, Project Genesis offers the following pre-internship workshops for the 2011 year:

February

Info Session – Tuesday Feb. 8th, 5-6pm, Irving 317

Get Into Volunteering Resource Fair (with Project Gensis attendance): Wednesday, Feb. 9th, 5 – 8 pm, Woodward IRC

Application Deadline – Friday, Feb. 11th, 4:00pm.

AC and RB – Saturday, Feb. 12th, 10:30am-2:00pm.

HIV/AIDS Speaker Series: Wed, Feb 23rd, 5:00 – 7:00pm, location TBA

March

Ongoing training with Link Initiative

April
Volunteering at a local elementary school, trained by Link Initiative

Please note that the events in italics are mandatory for exchange participants to move forward in their matching process. If these events are not attended, the exchange participant will be put on hold.
